Celebrity Suspects: Nicole Richie and Joel Madden
Case: Pillow fight! One of our favorite Hollywood couples got into quite a spat for all the world to see on Twitter earlier this week. While Nicole was busy taking in the grandeur of Paris Fashion Week, Joel sat at home in L.A. griping over Nicole’s expensive shopping habits.
“Do you ever look at your credit card bill & ask your wife how the hell she could spend 3 thousand dollars on pillows?” Madden asked his followers. “I do. I mean can’t we just go to Target and get our pillows???” Of course, Nicole defending her purchases by snapping back — “That’s why I ignore your calls.”
The fight didn’t end there, Joel replied: “Needless to say the pillows are going back to the expensive pillow store. Hope she likes the Target pillows I’m putting in their place,” later adding, “I was thinking they must be made from unicorn manes.”
Spa Treatment Sentencing: Typically we would side with the woman on her retail weaknesses, however this time we have to agree with Joel. $3,000 is a pretty expensive shopping trip for fluffy pillows, even if you’re filthy rich. If Nicole needed to relax she could have done so for way cheaper through our Spa Deals. In lieu of Nicole’s pricey thread counts and fancy feathers, we’re sending them to Spa Xanadu for 60 Min Swedish Massages, only $70 each this March.
